Half kilo flour/maida
1 tb yeast
1tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg for eggwash.
Rida made the dough and let it rise for few hours. Then, she made small buns and put them in a baking pound cake tin. 180 degrees celcius in oven until buns are cooked. She said let them cool half hour before cutting and serving.
Bhaji
half cup oil
4-5 garlic cloves
Rai 1tsp
Allou, Cauliflower, Carrots, Pease all chopped (bite size) - 1 pao each sabzji
Tomatoes - 1 pao
kuti lal mirch, salt, haldi - 1 tsp
pissa dhania - half tsp
Amchoor - 1 tsp
Garam masala pissa - 1 tsp
Kari pataa - 4-5
Hari mirch/ green dhania chopped for garnish
Heat oil, add the rai seeds and then add the vegies...make a whole in the center of pan and add tomatoes chopped. Do not touch. Add spices. Once the tomatoes are mushy, then mix vegies..Let them saute by themselves. Do CUT-A-CUT style mixing. Add garam masala pissa hua. Add kari paata leaves and cover and cook until vegies are tender. Add hara dhania and hari mirch on top also. Finally once cooked add 50 g butter and let it melt on vegies. Serve with pav buns.
tip - also gave a tip to viewers, do not heat kari pata in oil for tarka. The paata loses its smell and flavour. Use kari pata dry in cooking (like a garnish).
